According to reports in the Daily Express, Tottenham Hotspur have made an enquiry for £30m-rated Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino could be looking to strengthen his defensive options this summer with the futures of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld far from certain, and he could target a move for the Frenchman.
The 27-year-old looks set to leave the Reds on a permanent basis before next season having fallen out with Reds manager Jurgen Klopp and been sent home from the club’s pre-season tour of America last year, and he hasn’t played since.
Sakho enjoyed a successful loan spell with Crystal Palace in the second half of this term and his solid performances helped the Eagles retain their Premier League status.
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the link via social media and they were largely divided with their opinions.
While many believe he would be a good buy considering some of his showings for both Liverpool and Palace, others say the north London outfit should steer clear.
