Tottenham are expected to be extremely busy this summer as they could lose several first team players, but should signing a striker be their number one priority?
With Mousa Dembele and Toby Alderweireld both looking likely to leave North London this summer, nearly every Tottenham transfer target seems to be a midfielder or defender.
Matthijs de Ligt is expected to be the man to replace Alderweireld, while the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure, Amadou Haidara, and Geoffrey Kondogbia have all been linked as possible replacements for the departing Dembele.
Where Tottenham should really be focusing their transfer business though is up front, where they desperately need some proper support for Harry Kane.
It seems to be the hardest task in football at the moment – find a player who is good enough to take pressure off Harry Kane, but also a player who is happy to play second fiddle to the England striker.
Vincent Janssen was thought to be the perfect balance between quality and youth, but the Dutchman was simply not good enough for Spurs and has struggled with injuries during his loan spell with Fenerbahce.

Fernando Llorente came in at the other end of the spectrum, as Pochettino hoped his nous and experience would be the perfect pressure release valve for Kane.
Neither signing was successful though, and Kane has suffered from ankle and muscle injuries towards the end of the season yet again.
If Tottenham do not find some proper support for their golden boy, it will be a massive error, and the intensity of the English season will damage his career and prevent him from fulfilling his unbelievable potential.
So, Tottenham fans, do you think any of the current crop can help Harry enough? Or should a new striker be a priority this summer? Let us know by voting in the poll below…
