Rangers supporters are eager to make a move for Liverpool forward Ben Woodburn, after they were linked with a loan deal for the youngster last week by The Express.
The paper reported that Woodburn was one of three players currently at Anfield he was looking at to bolster his first team squad in 2018/19.
Woodburn has limited experience and is largely untested when it comes to first team football, but did become Liverpool’s youngest ever goalscorer in 2016 when he netted against Leeds United in a cup match.
Still just 18 years of age, he is highly rated by club and country, already winning senior international caps for Wales.
A year on loan at Rangers could be the making of him, especially playing for a manager who knows his game inside out having worked with him as a Reds youth coach.
Rangers fans are keen for the move to happen, responding to a poll we published last week asking whether they should sign the player or not. 88% believe that the club should get the deal done.
