A brace would have been a nice confidence booster for the former Boro striker after a rather poor goalscoring run, but he’s still scored two in his last two.
That hasn’t proven as much of a consolation to some fans though as they’ve complained about the decision.
Of course, as with every decision the EFL make, many fans have responded with claims that the Football League are corrupt.
This is a bit childish from the fanbase as they really have to ask themselves what the EFL stand to gain by handing Bamford’s goal to someone else.
If there actually was an anti-Leeds agenda they’d disallow the goal or something more effective.
However, one fan explained exactly how the EFL’s conspiracy against the Whites has come into play here as he claims that they’re worried about Bamford breaking the Championship goal scoring record, but with just six goals in 17 games there isn’t much danger of that happening.
