Burnley have told Crystal Palace they will have to pay a £3m compensation fee to take Sean Dyche to Selhurst Park, according to Football Insider.
And, as to be expected, a number of Palace fans have been giving their thoughts to the managerial update on social media.
A Palace source informed Football Insider that the Eagles hierarchy see Dyche as a suitable fit to replace Roy Hodgson.
Palace approached the Clarets to see how much it would cost to bring the 49-year-old to London and have now learned the figure.
Dyche’s current contract at Turf Moor has just over 12 months left to run, however, he has previously admitted talks will be held over a potential extension in Lancashire.
He’s been with Burnley since 2012 and has averaged 1.38 points per game in his 391 games as boss.
